A house built with 3 others within the walled garden of a mansion house. As the site is considered by the Planners to be a conservation area, there were very strict requirements on the external appearance and treatment of the new houses.
The client was keen to have first floor living with a balcony in order to take advantage of the outstanding views of the coastline and the forest, which is a short distance from the site.
The accommodation on the first floor consists of a kitchen, sitting room with a balcony and a dining room, the ceilings on the first floor are sloping and generally follow the line of the roof apart from a flat area in the centre of the span.
On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite bathroom, study with french doors to the garden a bathroom and a utility room. A vestibule connects the house to the garage.
Total area 1522 sq.ft. house plus 290 sq.ft. garage.
